| Scooter rider killed, wife injured | | |

A couple one scooter were hit by a speedy tipper resulting on spot death of husband and seriously injuring the wife.
As per source, the couple were on their way to Reasi from Katra on scooter No. JK14A-1450 when they were hit by a tipper No JK02W-6686 near Katra, resulting on spot death of Madan Lal S/o Tej Ram R/o Main Bazaar Udhampur. While his wife Uma Devi receives serious injuries and had been admitted to Udhampur hospital.
On getting information, police team from Katra police station rushed to the spot and arrested the tipper driver and seized the vehicle and registered the case. The driver of the tipper has been identified as Balwan Singh S/o Narinder Singh R/o Palanwalla
