| MLA Poonch reviews development works | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 18
MLA Poonch Aijaz Jan today conducted an extensive tour of his constituency to review the progress of developmental works under Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) and NREGA. During his visit to Dingla, the MLA settled a long pending dispute between two groups. The dispute between two villages Dingla and Janyar was over the issue of construction of a community hall at an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh and passenger shed at an estimated cost of Rs two lakh under BRGF. The dispute was solved amicably by holding a public Darbar at Panchayat Ghar Dingla. The land for community hall was identified at Dingla and that of Passenger Shed in Janyar. The work orders for construction of the building were issued by Block Development Officer. The MLA also sanctioned one Ambulance for the people of Dingla to be stationed there to provide Medical help during odd hours. The public complained about the availability of drinking water and the MLA assured to take up the matter in review board meeting for sanctioning lift scheme. As an immediate relief he sanctioned four hand pumps for public. He also assured the public to get the road to upper Dingla sanctioned in Review Board Meeting later in this month. He also inspected progress of motorable nridge at Kallana under BRGF which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7.50 crores and motor able bridge at Azmabad Rs 4.50 crores. The directions were issued to concerned authorities for immediate completion. He also inspected the road widening of Poonch-Mandi road and issued instructions on spot
