| Writers’ forum organize multilingual ‘Kahani ghoshti' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: The writers forum, Jammu organized a multilingual kahani ghoshti and a book release function entitled ‘Sim Sim Khull Ja’, a collection of Punjabi short stories written by Surinder Kaur Neer here today. In his presidential address, SS Anand Lehr congratulated the writers who presented short stories in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Dogri and said that the short storieshave worth in their technique and presentation. He also complimented Kaur Neer for her second short story book in Punjabi released today. Dr Jatinder Udhampuri, while speaking on the occasion said that writers forum is working for the development of the language and literature being written in the state particularly in Jammu region and produced number of new writers, poets and short story writers in the languages spoken in the region. He also complimented Surinder Neer for her released book. Prit Pal Singh Betab, chairperson of the writers forum said that the forum organized this multilingual kahani ghoshti to provide the platform to the writers community of the region so that the interaction among the writers of the various languages can be arranged. He also appreciated the short stories of Neeru Sharma in Dogri, Khalid Hussain in Punjabi, Anand Lehar in Urdu and Yogita Yadav in Hindi Khalid Hussain, Dr. Sushil Sharma and Dr Baljinder Nasrali presented their review papers on the book released and critically appreciated the writer of the book.
