| Safai Karamcharis seek regularisation | | |

KATHUA, Jan 18
Safai Karamcharis Union of Municipal Committee Kathua today staged a protest against the Director Local Bodies Jammu for his “failure” to concede its long pending demands.
The protestors led by Sawan Chita accused the Director Local Bodies Jammu for ignoring the demands like regularization of daily wagers/casual workers who have completed more than 7 years service in the concerned department and release of two and half days extra pay on the pattern of health department and PDD.
The employees alleged that though the administration had assured for fulfillment of their demands, yet no action has been taken to resolve their issues.
They declared that the protest would continue till the administration doesn’t fulfill their demands.
Vice president, Tarsem Lal, general secretary, Rafiq, Rani David Masih, Subash Kokar, and Thana Masih also addressed the protestors.
