Several writers, singers, poets, actors and musicians of the state today constituted an art and artists club under the name and style of ‘Jammu and Kashmir Art and Artists Club’.
Daya Ram Daya has unanimously been elected its president while Ramesh Raina elected as vice president. Syed Parveez Hilal has been appointed as general secretary while Aamir Khan and Ashok Lalpuri as its secretary and publicity secretary respectively.
As per the press statement issued here, the club has been constituted in view the essence of the art, culture and music which unites the people irrespective of caste creed, colour, sex, region, religion and status across the State.
Soon after taking the charge as president of the club Daya Ram Daya impressed upon the artists, writers, poets, singers, musicians and actors to work with zeal, dedication and devotion for the unity of the people through their writings, art and actions
