| JU authorities misleading students: NSF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 18
In its fresh tirade against the administration of Jammu University, National Secular Forum (NSF) today alleged that the university authorities are misleading and befooling the students in the name of enquiry in the cases of mass copying and marks tempering. Addressing media persons here today, Vikas Sharma, president NSF asked that if the authorities have claimed that they have sent the report of marks tampering for Forensic examination, why was outcome of the report not made public in seven months? “The university authorities are trying to shield the culprits and playing the double policy with the general masses,” he charged. He further alleged, “On the one side they have been claiming that the employees engaged in mass copying in B.Ed. annual examinations were terminated and on the other they have simply asked for stern action and no action has been taken.” Sharma said that the university has failed on all fronts and nothing has been done for its betterment and development for the last one year. He said that the aim of NSF for disrupting the ongoing exams was just to warn the authorities against the delay in the enquiry in the cases of mass copying and marks tempering. He said that the deployment of police in the campus was not justified and such move would be dealt with tooth and nail. Among those who were present in the press conference included Sunny Babber, Randeep Singh Chib,Vikram Singh and Sanjay Sharma.
