Condemning repeated attacks on Indian students in Australia, the state unit of Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) today alleged that Central Government has failed to safeguard the interests of Indian nationals. Addressing media persons here, Dimpy Kohli, president and Rakesh Kak, spokesperson alleged that the selective attacks on Indians show cowardness of the Australians. The leaders also castigated the weak foreign policy of the Central Governmentm saying that the government has proved inefficient in safe guarding the Indians living or studying abroad. “If the attacks don’t stop immediately, the Shiv Sena activists would not allow any Australian to take part or perform in any sport event in 2010 Common Wealth games to be held in New Delhi,” they warned and added, “The Central Government should remember the digging of Ferozshah Kotla Cricket Ground, which was dug up by the Shiv Sainiks to stop Pakistan from playing at New Delhi.” The SSH leaders also disclosed that they would submit a memorandum to the United Nations Office seeking safety of the Indian students studying in Australia.
