| BJP MLA distributes cheques among IAY beneficiaries | | |

JAMMU, Jan 18
Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Marh Assembly Constituency, Choudhary Sukhnandan today distributed 200 cheques of Rs 17.5 thousands each among the poor families of Marh block under Indira Awas Yojna (IAY).
Speaking on the occasion, Sukhnandan said that the financial help is provided to the poor families for construction of their own houses, adding that it is the first installment while the remaining Rs 17.5 thousands per family would be released for putting up roof after the base and four walls are constructed.
He said that his constituency is spread over a large area and houses poor people in majority, who need such financial helps and as a MLA he is committed to ensure that more and more deserving people get benefits of welfare schemes.
Sukhnandan assured that he would make efforts to see that the IAY scheme is extended to other block of the constituency in coming days.
