| Employees call for strike on Feb 16,17 | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Jan 19: A day long joint session of the various federations, association of both the provinces of Jammu / Kashmir was held at Jammu. Prominent leaders among others who took part in the delebrations and addressed the session include Ram Kumar Sharma, Mohd Gafoor Dar, Pardeep Kumar Gurmeet Singh, Bharat Bushan, Mohd Maqbool Ganai, Rafiq Ahmed Khanaiyari, Khursheed Ahmed Kuttey. The session took strong exception to the non-serious attitude of the State Government in dilly delaying lattices the government as the left out the part of the agreed demands which were agreed in principle by the government. The government is morally under obligation to implement the agreement without any further delay as per assurance from Chief Minister and his cabinet colleges which include release of arrears of 6th pay commission w.e.f Jan 2006 in favour of employees and pensioners, release of pending 5% HRA equivalent to 20% at par with the central government employees, to issue order for regularization of all temporary, adhoc, consolidate, contractual employees and daily rated workers before and after 1994, removal of pay anomalies of various cadres, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years as per commitment at par with central government employees and enhancement of wages for Anganwadi workers and helpers etc. The session unanimously resolved to evolve a State level united employees platform at the pattern on the basis of collective united leadership and non-political party character. The session further resolve to intensify the struggle in case the government ignores 16th and 17th Feb two days token strike being held in three regions of the state. The EJAC of the Kashmir region has fully endorsed the two days token strike decision taken by EJAC at Jammu after the threadbare discussion. The state level session called upon the rank and file of the State Government employees to observe complete strike on 16th and 17th Feb 2010 so as impress upon the State Government to concede the aforesaid demands. The session also unanimously decided that EJAC factions formed by the self stayled, self centered individual are being dissolved forthwith who have no moral and ethic right character.
