Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University today launched the programme for admission to various Academic courses for the year 2010.
The University has preponed the process of admission to ensure that teaching of the new batch commences in July 2010. Admission to all Technology oriented courses will be made through written test to be conducted by reputed external Agencies.
In these times when cost escalation is ruling the roost the University has slashed its fee structure for admission to all its academic programme by 25 % to provide relief to students particularly those from socially disadvantaged and economically deprived classes. This gesture of the University has been hailed by the student community at large.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Masud Chaudhary, kick started the sale of Information Bulletin & the Admission Application Form in presence of the Deans of different Schools, Heads of Departments, Registrar and the University officials. The sale was simultaneously launched from the Jammu and Srinagar branch- offices of the University as well.
Talking to the media the Vice Chancellor repeated the commitment of the University towards banishing illiteracy, obscuranticism, and ignorance from the catchment area of the University. He said, the University will ensure that education is not denied to any boy or girl for want of resources.
