| Court stays reversion order of Director Research SKUAST-J | | | Early Times Report

Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu Wing today stayed the reversion order of Director Research, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu issued by the university on January 12, 2010.
In a petition filed by Director Research SKUAST-J seeking quashment of order dated January 12, 2010 whereby the University withdrew the charge of the Director Research from the petitioner, Vacation Judge of J&K High Court, Jammu Wing, Justice JP Singh today stayed the operation of varsity’s memorandum dated January 12, 2010 till further order from the Court.
The petitioner challenged the order of University through Advocate SS Ahmed on the ground that University has issued the impugned order erroneously assuming that the petitioner was holding only the charge of Director Research and had not been appointed against the post of Director Research and produced the documents.
Justice JP Singh after hearing the Advocate S S Ahmed appearing for the petitioner observed that the documents placed on record support the petitioner’s contention that he was appointed as Director Research SKUAST Jammu on the recommendations of the selection committee in July, 2008 and has been functioning as Director Research since then.
A prima-facie case for admission has been made and the petition is admitted, issued notice to the respondents and in the meanwhile order dated January 12, 2010 stayed.
