| EPTW society deputation call on revenue minister | | |

Jammu, Jan 21: A deputation of evacuees property tenants welfare (EPTW) society led by its chairman Krishan Lal Gupta called on revenue and rehabilitation minister, Raman Bhalla and apprised him about the problems being faced by the tenants beside harassment at the hands of custodian department.
Banarsi Dass Anhral president of the society apprise the minister that the department pays no attention towards the up keep of the delapidated houses. He said authorities were given complete list for repair etc of the house, but till date no action taken place, and added that no permission is being given to repair at own cost.
The minister after hearing the delegation assured them that the matter regarding giving relief to the tenants is under active consideration of the government, which include granting 40 year lease will be announced immediately after some decision is arrived.
Members who accompanied the deputation were Nazir Ahmed, Master Mansa Ram, Rattan Sawhney, Suraj Sharma, Shankar Dass and others.
