| NC workers lock horns in Ganderbal | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 21: Differences with leadership in National Conference came to fore Thursday at Ganderbal when workers clashed with each other and locked the town hall building where an important function was to be held. According to reports, workers local to district president locked the district headquarters of the National Conference where a worker, Muhammad Yususf, projected by the rival group as Omar Abdullah’s representative in Ganderbal was to be honoured. The function was later held in the town hall. The district president has no knowledge of the incident. However, he lashed out at Muhammad Yusuf for resorting to cheap methods for his vested interests. “If Omar Abdullah appoints him as his representative in Ganderbal, I will register protest and campaign against it. Muhammad Yusuf stands nowhere in the organization He is a turn coat. During the day he is seen with National Conference but spends his evenings with PDP people.” The Provioncial president also has no knowledge of the incident. “The matter shall be taken up in the working committee meeting”, he said and denied any rift between the workers in district Ganderbal.
