BJP Mahila Morcha felicitates Manhas, Khajuria

Jammu, Jan 21- To felicitate the newly elected President Shamsher Singh Manhas and honour the outgoing President Ashok Khajuria, State BJP Mahila Morcha, under its President Usha Choudhary, today organized a "felicitation function" at party headquarters. Both the leaders were presented shawls and bouquets in presence of a large number of Mahila Morcha activists.
Expressing thanks to the Morcha activists for honouring him, Manhas said that the BJP cadres in the state have very important role as our party has all along been working to strengthen nationalist forces in the state and the history is replete with the instances of the struggle and sacrifices of a our leaders and party activists and fighting the anti-national forces in the state. He asked the Morcha activists to reach the masses with the issue of price rise and mobilize public opinion against the present government at the centre as well as in the state against its anti-people policies that have resulted in astronomical price rise.
Ashok Khajuria, on this occasion, said that he did try his level best as the president of the state unit to highlight the problems of the masses and their redressal. Extending full cooperation to the new president, Khajuria expressed hope that the party will get further strengthened in the state and emerge as the single largest party in the coming years.
Usha Choudhary, in her address, said that it is BJP only which has granted 33 per cent reservation to women in the organizational set up and urged upon the Congress-led UPA at the centre and the NC-Congress coalition in the state to bring bill aimed at giving political reservation to women.
Suresh Jamwal, Sakina Bano, Mamta Singh, Sheela Handoo, Sushma Manhas, Priya Sethi, Sweety Koul, Purnima Sharma, Rajni Sethi, Sangeeta Gupta, Kiran Salathia, Pushpa Wazir, Sureshta Jamwal, Shilpi Verma, Pinky Gupta, Rita Jamwal, Vidya Devi, Anuradha Charak, Priya Jral, Nirmal Gupta, Sonia Gupta were prominent among those present on the occasion.
