| Bhalla launches road in Chhani Himmat | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JANUARY 21-Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla laid the foundation stone of a link road from Police Line Main Gate to Dairian Mohalla here today. The construction of the road would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.25 lakh and would be provide road connectivity to various localities in Channi Himmat area.
Addressing a gathering, after laying the foundation of link road, Mr. Bhalla said that on its completion, a population of 50,000 souls of Dairian mohalla, Channi Rama, Channi Himmat and adjoining areas would be benefited. He said that road connectivity is key for all round development of a society, adding that the Government has initiated massive road developmental project across the State.
The Minister said that Government was committed to develop remote areas at par with urban areas by providing all basic amenities in all areas. He said that Government was fully aware of the problems of the people and all out efforts are being made to solve these in a phased manner.
