| Ajaz proposes Islamic art expo in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 22: An exhibition of Islamic art and calligraphy would be held in Jammu in February on the eve of Eid Milad un Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
This was decided when Minister for Hajj & Auqaf and Fisheries, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Khan visited renowned painter and calligrapher Baba Usman here today.
The Minister said the Department of Auqaf and J&K Cultural Academy would jointly sponsor the exhibition.
During his visit, the Minister enquired about his works and took keen interest in the masterpieces he has devised so far.
Baba Umar has so far conducted exhibitions of his works, particularly Islamic calligraphy, at New Delhi and Mumbai besides in Gulf.
