Jammu, Jan 22: Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari today assumed the charge of Vice Chairman for the Development of Pahari Speaking people.
He was welcomed by the officers and the staff members. Before assuming the charge, Mr. Bukhari was taken in a procession from his residence Gandhi Nagar, Jammu to the office complex. A large number of prominent leaders of the Pahari speaking community irrespective of their political affiliation participated in the procession.
At the time of assumption of charge, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. S. S. Slathia, Minister of State for Power, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan, MLA, Kalakote, Mr. Yashpal Singh, Vice Chairman, Kissan Welfare Boarad, Mr. Rafiq Hussain Khan, MLA, Mendhar, MLCs, Mr. M. R. Qureshi, Mr. T. S. Wazir and Mr. Ajay Sadhotra and other dignitaries were present.
The speakers thanked the Chief Minister for the nomination of Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari as Vice Chairman of the Pahari Advisory Board and hoped that Mr. Bukhari would endeavour to solve all the major problems of the Pahari speaking community
