| JJSF demands concession in syllabus | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22 Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) has demanded curtailment in syllabus of Three Year General Degree courses as a lot of precious time during the current academic session was lost due to several reasons. Addressing media persons here today, State Vice-President JJSF Partap Singh Jamwal said that syllabus of Three Year General Degree courses is way short of completion due to the late start of the session, agitation in support of establishment of Central University in Jammu, delay in results and late declaration of re-evaluation results adding that the students of Science stream have not yet completed their theory as well as practical. He appealed the Principals of all the colleges in Jammu province to make aware the Jammu University authorities regarding the incompletion of the syllabus. Jamwal demanded that syllabus should be shortened which is the only viable solution to the problem being faced by thousands of students. He cautioned that if the University authorities failed to concede the demand, the JJSF would leave with no other option but to launch an agitation. JJSF leader also demanded establishment of Physical Education College in Jammu province. Other JJSF leaders who were present on the occasion included Sahil Choudhary (President GGM Science College), Abhay Sharma (Vice President, GGM Science College), Sandeep Chouhan, Monika Sharma, Madhu Saini, Atul Kerni, Rakesh Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Mohammad Ashraf, Sumit Gupta (City President), Kulbinder Singh and Jatin Mahajan.
