| Swaal aur Swapan evokes good response | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22- Viraat Socio-cultural Society staged Krishan Baldev Vaid’s play ‘Swaal Aur Swapan’ at Abhinav Theatre here on Friday as part of the fortnight long drama festival organized by the Cultural Academy. The play explored human sensibilities and tried to negotiate the inner undefined tendencies of the human mind. Directed by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the play saw performances of many budding artists like Neha, Himanshu, Harmeet, Sandhya, Avinash and Raj. The play tried to bring to the fore the fluctuating desires and imbalanced attitudes and stressed out emotions of the human mind which collectively contribute to a kind of split human personality. The play revolves round the five aliens and how they deal with their life situations. On his part the director has done his best to portray abstract realities to the best satisfaction of serious thinking individuals. As a creative art form, the drama relied on five main characters and the contrast their personalities had with one another. In this play the director tried to construct a fusion of contrasting balances through colors and attitudes of characters to maintain a transcendent pace to sustain the ethical nuances of the drama. From senior citizens to grown up boys and girls to school going little children almost all categories of people had come to Abhinav Theatre for having a glance at the performance of artists. ‘Play Chote Log’ of Rajneesh Gupta is being staged tomorrow.
