NEW DELHI, JAN 22: Minister for Agriculture and President of Democratic Party (Nationalist), Ghluam Hassan Mir this morning met UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and discussed the political and economical issues confronting Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Mir presented the over all situation of the State and added that it has badly affected due to two decade turmoil particularly in Education, Health, Agriculture, PDD and other infrastructural development programmes. He said to bring Jammu and Kashmir at par with other States, whole hearted support of Congress is necessary to get the State out from the clutches of backwardness by way of providing liberal help at every field.
Mr. Mir said that under the dynamic leadership of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the State is already receiving liberal funding from last so many years, which helped the State to upgrade the infrastructure and also boost setting up of new ambitious projects particularly in health, education, PHE, PDD and agriculture sectors. He requested for more free flow of funds in every sector as a special gesture for the people of Jammu & Kashmir especially in social sectors to make it a Model State of the Country.
