| SSH demands reinstatement of expelled workers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 23: Castigating the ruling dispensation for turning blind eye over “exploitation” of local workers by industrialists, Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) have reiterated its demand of re-instatement of workers expelled by Euro Bond Industries Pvt Ltd few weeks back. “Even though a complaint has been lodged with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Grievance Cell regarding re-instatement of expelled workers, it has yielded no results so far,” Dimpy Kohli, president and Rakesh Kak, spokesperson of SSH told reporters here. The leaders pointed out that on one side, the Chief Minister has called upon the industrialists to come to Jammu and Kashmir during his recent visit of New Delhi and on the other, the local workers are being exploited and deprived of their basics such as minimum wages, ESI and Provident Fund. “Even after taking written affidavits from the workers on the intervention of Minister for Industries, the workers are not taken back to work which clearly shows how fearless the management or the owner is and least bother about anyone even the senior minister,” they alleged. They further alleged that the management of the Euro Bond Pvt Ltd has started threatening other workers also by serving them “illegal notice.” “The company has been taking the help of local police to threaten the workers,” they said. The SSH leader warned that if the expelled workers are not taken back soon, the organisation would launch an violent agitation and the onus of which would lies on the management of the company and local administration.
