| Army flies Sadbhavna tourists by Aircrafts for the first time | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 24: A sadbhavna tour consisting of 18 young and elder citizen from far flung and underdeveloped areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts is being organised by 38 RR under aegis of Romeo force. Most of these persons belong to Gujjar/Bakarwal and backward communities of the region. The tour assumes significance as they are being provided opportunity to travel in the aircraft for the first time. Most of these persons have never been to south of Rajouri district during their life time. The tourists will visit Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer over a period of 10 days. They will witness Republic Day parade, meet the President of India, Union Cabinet Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah and various other dignitaries including Governors of Rajasthan and J&K during the visit. The tourists will be given exposure to various places of historical, religious and development interests.
The ultimate aim of this tour is to integrate the thought process of these people so that they assist in creating a situation for complete development of the area which has been absent due to ongoing militancy since over a decade.
