1/24/2010 10:44:34 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 24 Demanding warranted action against the culprits of Chittisinghpora massacre, Shrimoni Akali Dal (Amritsar) has urged the President, Pratibha Devi Singh Patil to direct the agencies concerned for exposing the faces of “real perpetrator” of the bloodshed.
Talking to media persons here today, Jaskaran Singh, national general secretary, while demanding appropriate action against the culprits, said that investigation into killing of 36 innocent Sikhs at Chittisinghpora in March 2000 should be given to an International Agency.
“Likewise, the Ansari Commission Report continues to remain a guarded secret which should be made public,” he demanded.
He, however, expressed solidarity with the ongoing popular Kashmiri movement seeking right to self determination.
Singh also appreciated Chief Minister Jharkhand Shibu Soren’s decision of suspending combat action against the Naxals.
He also welcomed lifting of ban on pre-paid mobile phones in Jammu and Kashmir.
