After taking over as the Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Prof RNK Bamzai delivered his first address to the students, staff and faculty members in the Matrika Auditorium.
Beginning his speech on a religious note, Prof Bamzai chanted the name of goddess Vaishno Devi.
He urged everyone particularly students to have positive energies so that things move in a positive direction.
Calling himself the head of the family, a facilitator and a pro-student teacher, Prof Bamzai expressed hope that students would not work and behave in an irresponsible manner especially the one which brings bad name to the institution.
He firmly stated to work tirelessly to achieve excellence not only at the national level but at the international level.
The Vice Chancellor urged every member of SMVDU to realize their role and contribution in this endeavour.
