Judicial remand of 2 accused extended for another15 days

Jammu, Jan 25- Chief Judicial Magistarte Jammu YP Bourney today extended 15 days judicial remand of accused Mohammed Hussain son of Mohammed Sultan resident of Doda and Sameer Ahmed son of Shabir Ahmed of Bijbehara, who were allegedly involved in Unlawful Activities Act.
Both the accused persons were produced today before the Court of CJM Jammu for extension of judicial remand.
Chief Prosecuting Officer Pawan Khajuria filed an application for extension of time for investigation in terms of provisions of section 43-D Act while Advocate KS Johal filed an application for grant of bail. CJM after hearing both the sides and perusing case dairy, observed that since investigation is in progress and is at crucial stage, hence the bail prayed for cannot be granted. The Court, however, extended the judicial lock up of both the accused for another 15 days and directed that the accused be detained in the District Jail till February 9, 2010 when they shall be produced in the Court for further orders.
