| Saroori asks officers to respond quickly to CM’s Grievance Cell Communiqués | | |
Early Times Report Jammu January 25: Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M.Saroori today inspected JKPCC office complex and took stock of the ongoing construction work of the complex. Commissioner Secretary R&B, Mr. Mehboob Iqbal, Chief Engineer, R&B Jammu, Mr. B.L. Sharma and MD JKPCC Mr. Tehsin Mustafa accompanied the Minister. The Minister was informed that Rs. 1.80 crore have been so far incurred on the work, out of total approved cost of Rs. 6 crore. He was told that the remaining construction work of the complex would be completed by next six months. Earlier, the Minister reviewed the physical and financial achievement of the Corporation at 29th Annual General Meeting. Mr. Saroori impressed upon the officers to accelerate work on all under execution project and ensure timely completion of the same. He asked the officers of the Corporation to monitor ongoing projects regularly to ensure use of quality material, besides, timely completion. The Minister directed officers to respond immediately on the communication being received from Chief Ministers’ Grievances Cell. He said government was committed to provide transparent and corruption free administration, adding that to mitigate the public grievances should be given first priority. He said those who would be found adopting delay tactics in responding to such communications would be penalized as per the provision of the rules. Saroori said that in the present competitive age , the Corporation has to keep eye on all the market trends and developments to maintain its place. . He said the officer have to put extra efforts to make the Corporation profitable which is in their own interest. Widening of Gujjar Nagar, Prem Nagar and Satwari road, besides opening of R&B, Sub Division at Banihal and Mechanical Division at Kishtwar also came up for discussion.
