Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 25: A large quantity of arms and ammunition, drugs and items of daily use were recovered by security forces from a hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants in the Chandol Kundla forests of Fasla Top in Mahore, Reasi, this morning. Official sources said troops of 61 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and cops from Lad and Bari Behak areas launched an operation in the Chandol Kundla forests at about 8 am following intelligence inputs that some militants were hiding there. Sources said while combing the woods at about 11 am, they came across a HM militants' hideout, which was carved out in a natural cave. The search of the hideout led them to the recovery of 20 tablets of different drugs, one RPG round, one AK magazine, 15 AK rounds, one rocket shell, one wireless set, one RPG round, two pouches, one camera, seven blankets, two pairs of Woodland shoes, one LPG stove, one steel box, several steel plates and glasses, four plastic sheets, one empty bag, two tins, one plastic can and a large quantity of other kitchen wares and daily use items. The hideout was later smashed. Sources said the troops conducted searches in the woods till late this evening, but they could not find any clue to the whereabouts of militants.
