| DIG Salaria gets Police Medal | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 26 On the occasion of 61st Republic Day, the state government has awarded Sher-e-Kashmir Police Medal for the meritorious services to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) M Sulaiman Salaria. Salaria, who is presently posted as DIG Vigilance J&K, has rendered 26 years of service in the Police department. The decorated officer has displayed high sense of courage, dedication and responsibility in maintaining law and order in general and combating militancy in particular in his vast career. During his different postings, Salaria created an effective anti-militancy grid at his assigned areas of responsibility. He was also instrumental in solving several blind murder cases and also conducted many civil action programmes to strengthen police-people bond. The senior police officer has already received Governor’s Commendation Medal in 1996, a cash reward from Director CBI in 1995, DGP J&K Commendation Medal in 1997, Aantrik Suraksha Sewa Padak in 2002 and President’s Police Medal for meritorious services in 2004.
