EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, January 26: Semi-finals line-up has been drawn in the two-day volleyball tournament at Bari Brahmana, near here today with the entry of Border Lions Club Pallanwala, Radha Krishan Club, Friends Club Ramgarh and Pindi-A Club in the last four stages. Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow, Border Lions shall take on Radha Krishan Club while Pindi Club shall be playing against Friends Club Ramgarh in the morning session. The semifinals shall be followed by the final in the afternoon. In the final, Minister for Industries, Surjit Singh Slathia has consented to be the chief guest. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Border Lions Pallanwala defeated Raja Memorial Club in straight sets 25-13, 25-12. In other quarterfinals, Pindi-A outplayed Jakh in close sets 25-21, 25-23 while Radha Krishan Club downed Sahyog Committee in a neck to neck contest 26-24, 28-26. Friends Club also won their tie against Mahadev Club 13-25, 25-23, 15-9. Earlier, the tournament was declared open by SDPO Bari Brahmana, Munish Anand while Raman Mahajan, Chairman Municipal Committee was guest of honour. Before the chief inaugurated the meet, he hoisted the national flag to celebrate Republic Day.
