Migrants seeking job under PM's package have to stay in Kashmir

Kashmiri migrants, being selected for different posts under Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's employment package for them, will have to sign an agreement with the government that they will not ask for transfer and will serve in the valley for rest of their life.
The Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS), an organisation of Kashmiri pandits who did not migrate and stayed in Kashmir, has also demanded special employment and package for them.
Under the PM's package for the Kashmiri migrants, more than 3000 unemployed youths of this community, are being recruited through special drive.
However, the migrants community, who will be selected for any post under this category cannot ask for transfer from the place where his or her appointed will be made.
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under this special package has invited applications for 81 posts from the persons who have migrated from the Kashmir valley after November Ist, 1989 and are registered as such with the Relief and Rehabilition Commissioner, Migrants, Jammu and Kashmir. It said application forms would be available at 21 different stations in Jammu region, Kashmir valley and Delhi.
However, the migrant candidates will have to sign an agreement with the government that he or she, after their appointment, will serve in the Kashmir valley and will at no stage opt or seek for transfer outside the valley.
It warned that if he or she migrates again from the Kashmir valley at any stage for any reasons, whatsoever, he or she will stand automatically terminated from the serive and shall have no claim against any post.
The agreement further said if the appointee willfully neglects or refused to perform his or her duty in Kashmir valley, the appointing authority shall immediately terminate his or her service.
