| Legislators, other delegations call on CM, discuss issues | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, JAN 27: Public representatives, deputations and individuals today called on the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah here and apprised him of various collective and individual problems.
Among the public representatives who met Abdullah were the Parliament Member, Madan Lal Sharma, Legislators, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Mohammad Sharief Niaz, R. S. Sharma, Mr. T. Namigyal, Mr. Javaid Rana and former Ministers Mirza Abdul Rashid, Mr. Sanaullah Dar and Mr. Babu Singh. They discussed matters pertaining to the welfare of people and development of the State as a whole. They also apprised the Chief Minister about the development requirements of the areas they represent.
A deputation, led by MLA, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta discussed issues relating to the National Rural Health Mission, extension of blood bank services through Medical College, Jammu, deputation of Medical and Paramedical staff from the Health Department and expansion of hospital services.
A deputation from Nobra led by MLA, Mr. T. Namigyal in its meeting with the Chief Minister presented resume of the development needs of the Nobra area which include block status for Bogdang area, girls high school at Bogdang, special employment package, degree college at Nobra, model village at Bogdang and permit for tourists to visit Yarma Gombo in Nobra valley.
The deputations of officers of Legislative Council led by Mr. Mohammad Maqbool, All J&K Daily Wagers Union of PDD led by Mr. Tarun Gupta, J&K Gaddi Tribe Association, J&K Political Migrants Front led by Mr. Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din, Lecturers Association, Retired Workers and Employees Association of J&K Minerals and Minority Welfare Front led by Mr. Mohammad Saleem Khan in their interaction with the Chief Minister presented to him memoranda of demands concerning the welfare of their unions.
A deputation from Anantnag led by Dr. Moahmmad Shafi in its meeting with the Chief Minister presented a list of development demands of the people of Anantnag district including new schemes in the sectors of PHE, Power, R&B and Horticulture.
