| Ministers review city road projects | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Jan 27: A high level meeting, attended by the Minister for Revenue , Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla and Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M.Saroori was held here today to review the road widening projects besides the status of the land acquisition process for the road projects coming up in the Jammu city.
Commissioner Secretary, R&B, Mehboob Iqbal, Secretary, Revenue, Eijaz Iqbal besides officers of R&B and Planning Departments were also present.
The meeting discussed the requirement of land for widening of Premnagar-Shahidi Chowk, Satwari-Airport, Denis Gate-DC office, Vivekanand Chowk-Raghunath Mandir Chowk, DPS and Gujjar Nagar roads. The Ministers called for early disposal of compensation cases for the land acquisition to avoid delay in the execution of projects.
The meeting also reviewed the payment of land compensation to the owners holding State land and the structures constructed on it in the light of Roshni Act.
The Revenue Minister agreed for convening a High Level Committee (HLC) meeting, constituted earlier by the Government, to look into matter.
