| Shabir inspects works in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 27- Minister of State for Power and CP&PD, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan today visited various areas of border district Rajouri and took stock of people’s problems besides inspecting the pace of progress on various developmental projects.
The Minister visited several remote villages of Kunda and Gali and heard demands and problems of the people. He issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned authorities for survey of road from Sharhdra to Kunda via Paran. He also asked the PHE authorities to take necessary steps for addressing water scarcity in the area.
Shabir also visited Grid Station at Rajdhani and enquired from the officers about the status of power supply in the area. He expressed displeasure over the non-punctuality of the staff and issued instructions to the concerned to ensure that the staff in all offices especially grid stations remain present on their duty so that the people would not face any inconvenience.
Referring to recent sanction of Rs. 3.67 crore for developing the village Shahdra Sharief as model village, the Minister sought suggestion from the villagers so that the area could be transformed into model village in a more cohesive manner. He also informed that during the current financial year, Rs. 1 crore will be spent under the project.
