| Cure of modern malaise in wisdom of sages: Chib | | Ranbir Campus celebrates Annual Day | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 27- Sanskrit is the oldest language of the world and mother of all the Aryan languages. He said Vedas are the greatest repository of ancient knowledge.
This was stated by the Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib while addressing an annual day function of Ranbir Campus of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, deemed University at Kotbalwal today.
He said that a Sanskrit student is not living in a cocoon of ancient, orthodox world but manifests a distinct connects with the modern living. At the same time he realizes that the cure of the modern malaise lies in the age-old wisdom of the peers and sages, saints of ancient India.
Stressing for inculcating scenes of discipline in the students the Minister said that we have to be disciplined and we should resort to ancient ideals of personal excellence and universal betterment, only then we can call ourselves educated human beings.
The Minister hoped that in the years to come, the students of the Sanstha shall improve their literary skill to more higher levels.
Former Justice J&K High Court, Mr. G. D. Sharma was the guest of honour and the function was presided over by Vice Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, Prof. Radhavallabh Tripathy.
Earlier, the Principal of the Sanstha, Prof. Vishwa Murli Shastri highlighted the achievements of the institution in his welcome address. Prof. Vaidyanath Jha conducted the programme.
Famous play by Kalidasa “Abhiyanashakuntalam” was also staged by the students of the campus.
