Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 27: The Women’s Development Corporation(WDC) is organising a national level sale cum exhibition for 10 days at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur from January 25.
About 30 stalls shall be set up in the exhibition depicting aesthetic grandeur and artistic intricacy of Kashmir handmade shawls, Pashmina, Embroidery suits, Sozni, crawel and paper machie etc.
Other Kashmiri items like dry fruits, artificial flowers, bed and cushion covers, sweats, Jam, pickles and honey would also be put on exhibition.
The objective of the exhibition is to provide a marketing platform to the women artisans outside the State and to get wide ranging opportunity of interaction with outside State artists through buyer seller meet.
The women beneficiaries participating in the exhibition belong to Districts of Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Kathua, R.S. Pura, Jammu, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Kupwara, Budgam, Baramulla, Pulwama Anantnag and Shopian etc.
