Jammu, Jan 27: On the occasion of republic day the volunteers of civil defence post. No. 6 offered their services at Sher-e-Kashmir bridge Gujjar Nagar and MAM stadium Jammu so that the national occasion passes of peacefully and ensured that no untoward incident of any kind takes place. Volunteers placed their services and highlighted the importance, need and role of civil defence organization in the public life under the supervision of Nazir Ahmed Qurashi, Post Warden of Post -6, division no.-1.
Volunteers who performed duties for maintaince of traffic frisking, naka and alert at the bridge included post warden NA Qureshi, deputy post warden Vijay Kumar Gupta, sector wardens Janu Goswami, Bodh Raj Gupta and Ganesh Kumar, Mohd Abdullah Qurashi, Rustam Chowdhary, Atul Kumar Gupta and Mohd Majid Choudhary, performed duty.
Beside this volunteers offered services also at MAM Stadium on included Mohd Farooq Faraz Qurashi, Ragunandan Singh, Arshad Khan, Vinod Singh Katoch, Natwar Singh Daraula and Mohammed Umar Mukhtar Qurashi. The deputy chief warden Paramjit Kumar and Vinod Malhotra paid a surprised visit at the bridge and appreciated the efforts of post warden Qurashi and other volunteers.
