| Poetic meet organized to mark R-Day | | |

Jammu Jan 28: In connection with the celebration of the Republic Day Adbi Kunj J&K, Jammu held a special literary cum poetic meet at its literary centre at Talab Tillo.
The occasion was presided over by S Balwinder Singh a well known Punjabi poet while eminent poet, composer and singer Ved Uppal attended the occasion as chief guest.
Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj and other speakers threw light on the importance of this day. Dr Jitender Udhampuri and Prof Hamidi Kashmiri were complimented for being honoured with Padam Shree award while Dr Veena Gupta was congratulated for getting State Award.
This was followed by the prose session and a poetry session in which various participants read out their works
In the end the members extended heartfelt condolences over the untimely demise of Sh. Rajinder Kumar Gupta, a known Journalist and radio announcer, and Sheetal Kumar Anand younger brother of eminent Urdu short story writer Anand Lehar.
