| Impressive Shobha Yatra taken out on Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28 : A colourful Shobha Yatra was taken out today in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti to be celebrated countrywide on January 30.
The Prakash Utsav started from the main Guru Ravi Dass Temple here. Hundreds of devotees from across the state formed a long chain on buses, trolleys and tractors.
Tableaus were decorated with buntings and flowers, while childrenattired as Shri Guru Ravi Dass, also Performed dramas depicting Guru's life.
Women chanting kirtans and bhajans offered prayers and paid obeisance at the temple.
''It is an annual feature and every year thousands of people participate in the Shobha Yatram, which after covering the main bazaars, culminates at Bahu Fort,'' a leader of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said.
