| Jammu migrants cry for fair deal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 28: Jammu Migrant Front (JMF) today demanded from the State Government to stop discriminating with the migrants of Jammu region and treat them at par with Kashmiri migrants. Addressing a press conference here, Prof Mohammad Aslam Kohli, alleged that migrants of Jammu region were being discriminated by the State Government in terms of relief. He mentioned that no housing facility was been given to the Jammu migrants besides, they were also not given adequate quantity of ration.
He said that Jammu migrants were suffering due to Govt apathy as they were being discriminated while; Kashmiri migrants were provided with all kinds of facilities and adequate relief.
He demanded that Prime Minister special relief package be divided equally among the migrants of both the regions. He also demanded the registration of Jammu migrants and provision of housing facilities to them. He further demanded that Jammu migrants be also given Ration cards. He, however, added that if their demands will not be fulfilled at the earliest, then they will be forced to launch agitation
