| Action against drivers redicule : TTDF | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Jan 28: The action against 23 drivers taken by the state government plying on various roads of erstwhile district Doda has been criticized by the tehsil Thatri development front (TTDF) president K.K. Rao.
In a statement Rao has said that this type treatment against the drivers is not going to solve any problem. He said steps should be taken to make RTO’s office free from corruption stream lining of licensing, Fitness of vehicles, increasing of Heat of busses and functioning of traffic development. He said, the condition of roads in rural areas has not improved despite several road accidents during the last year. The shortage of Busses, Matadors, in rural areas has added to the agony of common man. There the matador in rural areas always remains overpacked. The government should take the matter seriously by pressing more vehicles into services, and granting passenger license to those drivers who are fully trained for hilly areas.
