Bhim seeks Omar’s resignation
1/28/2010 11:38:03 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28- Demanding immediate resignation from the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for the reason that the coalition dispensation in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to protect the National Flag in the state, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, JKNPP and Member, NIC alleged that Omar has surrendered before the anti-national and terrorist elements. This, he said, is obvious from the fact that on Republic Day no National Flag was hoisted in Lal Chowk just to please the terrorists and also to seek their support in not disrupting the function at Bakshi Stadium.

In a statement issued here today Prof Singh said with this hidden pact with the terrorists, the State government has lost its moral and constitutional right to govern the state.

The Panthers Chairman said that a small news that National flag was not hoisted in Srinagar was flashed on priority by all the print and electronic media with the full blessings of the Home Ministry. The Panthers Party questioned the Home Minister that if Supreme Court’s final order on pre-paid mobile writ petition by the Panthers Party could be diluted under the instructions of the Home Ministry, how it is possible that insignificant news of a local agency would be allowed to be blown out of proportion. This was done intentionally to damage the national interest and demoralize those dealing with the internal security of the state.

Prof Singh said that Omar government has failed miserably at all fronts and added that Shopian incident is a living example how the state government failed to trace out the culprits.

Prof Singh has urged Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh to rethink their coalition with National Conference which has been responsible for the birth and rise of militancy in J&K and added that the party ‘is not only mother of terrorism in the state but also father of corruption and disintegration of the state’.
