| Employees threaten to gherao sect | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28–-Lambasting the government for deliberately delaying the implementation of the agreement reached between the state employees and the government some time back on their demands, the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) has given a call for Assembly gherao on February 25.
The decision to this effect was taken at a joint meeting of JCC and Employees Joint action Committee (EJAC) here today.
Abdul Qayoom Wani, spokesman of JCC and president Employees Joint Action Committee said that JCC will hold protest demonstration at Bikram Chowk in Jammu, Partap Park in Srinagar, besides gheroing Assembly on February 25
The employees, among other things, are demanding confirmation of daily wage, contractual and consolidated employees, enhancement in retirement age to 60 from 58 years, release of 6th pay commission arrears, conversion of COLA into DA in favour of PSU employees, release of HRA and, removal of pay anomalies.
Among others present at the meeting were Bashir Ahmed Ganai and Pupinder Singh.
