| HC stays transfer order of DFO | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28- The vacation Judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing Justice JP Singh today stayed the transfer order of Naveen Kumar Shah, IFS, who was transferred and posted as Divisional Forest Officer Jammu, a non-cadre post.
Challenging the order on the ground that his transfer was in violation of IFS (Cadre) Rules, 1996, the Petitioner submitted that the post to which he was posted was not a cadre post.
After hearing Advocate Pranav Kohli, Justice Singh issued notice to state of J&K, Commissioner/Secretary Forest Department, under secretary Forest Department and Sajjad Mufti Incharge DFO Urban Forestry Division Jammu. In the meanwhile, the Court ordered that operation of Government order No 29-FST of 2010 dated January 25, 2010 in so far as it pertains to the petitioner and respondents Sajjad Mufti shall remain stayed for a period of two weeks, if not already implemented and directed the Registry to list the petition in the second week of February, 2010.
