Jammu, Jan 29- Crime Branch Jammu today registered a case against then Manager Government Joinery Mill, Bari-Brahmana, in a cheating case by preparing claims on fictitious purchase vouchers.
On a complaint filed by one Ghulam Mohammed Bhat on behalf of J&K Industries Employees Association against Sanjay Handoo son of Late Pyare Lal Handoo then Manager Govt Joinery Mill Bari-Brahmana alleging drawl of fictitious claims, the Crime Branch took up investigation in the case. During the investigation, the Crime Branch observed that vouchers/bills in question were prepared fraudulently by then Manager Sanjay Handoo with the connivance of the employees of the Government Joinery Mill Bari-Brahmana Jammu. The omission and commission on the part of the accused persons Sanjay Handoo and others prima-facie constitutes offences U/Ss 420 /467 /468/ 471/120-B RPC r/w section 5(2) PC Act 2006 and accordingly a formal case under the aforementioned section was registered in the Crime Branch Jammu against the accused persons and started investigation in the case.
