In Health Minister’s constituency fake doctor cools heels in lockup

Akhnoor, Jan: It was bollywood style drama which ended up with ‘the doctor’ cooling heels in lockup in Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma’s constituency.

As per the reports, in a broad day light incident that occurred in sub-district Hospital, Akhnoor, a fake doctor along with his three other associates identified as Tajeshwer son of Tilak Raj resident of Akhnoor entered into the emergency ward of the hospital and came out with patient’s medical report file. The relatives of the victims on suspicious ground chased them and caught hold of fake doctor in the busy market of Akhnoor. He was later handed over to the concerned police station.

Giving information one of the relatives of the victims alleged that after having information, the Minister allegedly influenced the police officers and accused them of lodging false case against his supporter. However, when contacted, the Minister stoutly denied having come across any such development. He, however, felt that it may be a petty trick of his political rivals to drag him into controversy.

The police officers concerned also preferred silence over the issue. They just informed that during the interrogation of the arrested fake doctor, the name of his other associates identified as Munish Gupta and his brother surfaced. Both are residents of Akhnoor and are evading arrest.

The accused further informed police that they are friends of the accused Rakesh Kumar and Mannu both sons of Madan Lal residents of Guda-Pattan, who few days ago, assaulted Ajay Kumar son of Prem Chand, his sister Mamta Sharma and his Sister-in-Law Meena Devi with sharp edged weapons.

The condition of all of them is critical and are being treated in the hospital.

A case under section 307 RPC had been registered against them at Kana Chack police station in this connection.

In order to assist them in getting bail, they stole the victims’ medical report but he was caught hold off. Police is also conducting raids to in the area to arrest the absconders.
