Polythene manufactures meets Dy. C.M to seek redressal of grievances

JAMMU, JANUARY 31- A deputation of Polythene manufacturing unit holders today called on the Dy. Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand and apprised him about problem confronting them in the wake of ban on use of non- bio-degradable materials in the State.
Deputy Chief Minister assured the deputationists that their genuine demands would be sympathetically looked into.
Several others deputations from Chamb Constituency also called on the Dy. Chief Minister and sought improvement of various basic amenities in their respective areas, including supply of drinking water, power supply, road connectivity and other civic facilities .
The Dy. Chief Minister gave instructions to the concerned officers to redress all the genuine grievances of the people in a time bound manner. He reiterated Government’s resolve to provide equal opportunities of development and prosperity to the people of State with emphasis on remote, backward border areas. He said coalition Government was vigorously pursuing the objective of ensuring all round Socio-economic transformation in the all the three regions of the State adding that all the available resources are being pooled to improve the living standard of the people. He said both the cities of Srinagar and Jammu are being developmed as metropolitans, for which Union Ministry for Housing, Urban development and Environment are liberally providing required funds.
Mr. Tara Chand said that Government has embarked upon a comprehensive plan to revive and conserve all the water bodied in the State. He said Dal-Lake conservation has been taken –up as National priority. He said Mansar and Surinsar lakes are also being further developed and beautified and all the requisite facilities and basic infrastructure is being created to make these water bodies as most preferred tourist destinations.
Dy. Chief Minister also referred to the recently announced Sher-i-Kashmir Employment and welfare Schemes for Youth and asked the people to get adequate knowledge about various incentives available under this programme for various self Employment Schemes.
