Sagar asks Central Govt to give further imputes to the negotiation process with Pakistan for solving Kashmir problem

Shopian January 31-Discribing Kashmir problem as unique, Minister for Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary affairs, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar today called upon the Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh and Minister for Internal Affairs, Mr. P. Chidambaram for initiating measures for peaceful and purposeful negotiations with the leadership of Pakistan.
Addressing a mammoth public gathering, here today, before laying the foundation for developing Shade Craba , as Model village , the Minister appealed to all political parties and separatists to extend un-conditional support to the Coalition Government so that the prosperity and development of the people of the State was ensured. Mr. Sagar said that violence and bloodshed cannot solve any problem.
Involving a cost of Rs. 3.5 crore, Shade Craba would be developed on modern lines with provisions for health, education hygiene, including sewerage drainage and other social infrastructure.
Terming Shophian incident as a crime against humanity, Mr. Sagar said “we should wait for the decision of the court and as soon as result comes out the accused will be brought to justice.”
Mr. Sagar said that the National conference has represented people over a long period and Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah has reiterated that late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s dream of Naya Kashmir will be given a practical shape and for this purpose the ground work has already been initiated.
He said that the coalition government has formulated a comprehensive Employment Policy which has rekindled a new hope among the youth of the State.
Mr Sagar said that the coalition government will come up to the expectations of the people and their aspiration will be taken to the logical conclusion. He said that the promises made at the time of election would given practical shape at all costs.
The public meeting was, among others, addressed by MLA Shopian, Mr. Abdul Razak Jora and MLC Showkat Ahmed Ganai.
Deputy Commissioner Shophian, Mr. M.A. Khanday and Director Rural Development, Mr. Dilshada Khan were also present on the occasion.
