| Ashok Sharma to get Rashtriya Gourav award | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: The former legislator Ashok Sharma has been selected for the prestigious ‘Rashtriya Gourav Award’ for his valuable contribution toward the society in varied fields.
The award will be presented at a function being held in New Delhi on March, 6, 2010.
Sharma represented Kalakote constituency in the legislative assembly from 1996-2006 and also remained MLC from 2004 to 2008.
A practicing lawyer in J&K high court, Sharma is associated with various organizations from student days. Presently he is heading ICLEA J&K chapter besides being chairman, All J&K Kissan Union and Friends club India and president foundation for peace and social justice. He worked tirelessly for eradication of corruption, ensuring morality and ethical values in politics, protection of environment and above all establishing a healthy society based on the cherished values of communal harmony, brotherhood and secular ethos. Mean while, a number of social, religious, professional and political organization have congratulated his selection for the award.
