| PDP stages protest in Gandoh | | |

Accusing the State Government of failing to provide basic amenities of life to the people living in far-off places, hundreds of people from Gandoh area staged protest demonstration at Malik Pura Gandoh on Sunday and demanded necessary steps for improving infrastructure in their locality. Raising anti-government slogans, the protestors, led by senior PDP leader, Imtiyaz Mir demanded increase in quota of ration for Below Poverty Line (BPL) people. Addressing the gathering, Imtiyaz Mir highlighted the various problems of the people and asked the government for proper distribution of ration in the area. He said that the ration cards should be renewed and prepared on the basis of fresh census. He further demanded the immediate posting of doctors in all the PHC’s of Gandoh Bhallessa and also specialist should be appointed at Sub District Hospital Gandoh as the the people of Bhallessa has been lacking basic health facility since long. He alleged that the local MLAs and the Minster instead of redressing the problem of the people are busy in fighting each other and the problem of the people have been left unattended. He further demanded the issuance of orders of appointment for the candidates who were selected as constable at Chilli during the tenure of former Chief Minster Ghulam Nabi Azad. He threatened that the party would continue demonstrations and dharnas in case the government fails to take cognizance of the problems being faced by the people. Among others who spoke on the occasion were Altaf Hussain Malik, Sajad Malik, Mehboob Dar, Doost Mohd and Naimtullah Wani.
