Jammu, Feb 1: An attempt by land grabbers trying to encroach upon the bank of nallah was foiled by the enforcement wing of Jammu municipal corporation and Jammu development authority in a combine move at Shankar Nagar, Gangyal here today.
Continuing with the anti encroachment drive, the field staff of enforcement wing led by Asstt. Enforcement officer along with police force carried out a drive and removed encroachments from the pavements, footpaths etc from Indira chowk, Shalamar Road, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazar, Residency Road, Vinayak Bazar and from Jewel areas. During the drive a truck load of material like baskets, pipes, brooms, shirts pillows, iron table, tools etc found places by the shopkeepers and vendors by encroaching pavements, footpaths were seized.
